    Mr. N. Ram Prasad, High Commissioner of India Kingdom of Eswatini, Mbabane  Mr. N. Ram Prasad is a career diplomat who joined the Ministry of External Affairs in  1988. Prior to assuming his charge as the High Commissioner of India in the Kingdom of Eswatini  on 01 Aug 2023, he was Deputy Chief of Mission/Charge dÁffaires a.i. at the Embassy of India,  Riyadh during Oct 2020 to Jun 2023. He served in various capacities at Indian Missions and  Posts abroad in Mongolia, Ukraine, France, Tunisia, Nepal, Nigeria and Philippines.   Mr. N. Only online filled application is accepted. b.  Only the residents falling under the jurisdiction of the High Commission of India, Mbabane are eligible to apply online through this website. This service is not rendered to Indian nationals who are on a visit visa or business visa. The applicants need to have valid work permit or resident permit of Eswatini. c. An ordinary passport is valid for 10 years from the date of issue.     How to apply for ITEC INDIAN TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION (ITEC) PROGRAMME The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme was instituted by a decision of the Indian Cabinet on 15 September 1964 as a bilateral programme of assistance of the Government of India. In a major boost to India – Africa relations, the Union Cabinet of India chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on 21st March, 2018, approved opening of new Indian Missions in 18 African countries. It was decided that these Missions will be opened over a four year period between 2018 and 2021.   • Important information about the Indian Visa

    (i) Visas are issued only at the High Commission of India, Mbabane. (ii) Fees is acceptable in Emalangeni only. (iii)  For other than Swazi passports-holders issue of visas takes up to four additional working days. (iv) The validity of the visa counts from the date of issue and not from the date of entry into India. As such, the visa application should not be submitted to the HCI, Mbabane more than one month before the date of travel. (v) Visa may be refused without assigning any reason. Visa fee once received is not refunded even if the visa application is withdrawn or visa not granted or if the visa cannot be processed within the timeframe desired by applicant. The HCI also reserves to itself the right to decide on the type and duration of the visa granted. (vi) Each visa application is considered on its merits and the HCI may seek additional information at any stage during processing of the requests.     Emergency cases where consular services are required on the same working day will be considered on a case-to-case basis depending on the nature of the emergency and subject to the production of documentary proof, if any.  Emergency number may only be contacted when an applicant needs to travel urgently in connection with death or serious sickness of a family member in India. The need for travel on any other ground is not an emergency and applicants are advised to submit their applications at least 5 days prior to date of travel. In order to ensure that this number is only used for emergency calls, the person making the request for an emergency service should first send a brief SMS outlining the emergency situation he/she is in and the service required.     VISA DURATION /STAY IN THE KINGDOM OF ESWATINI If the names of country of origin is not listed amongst member countries requiring visa to enter the Kingdom of Eswatini, it means they need not to apply for visas. Currently in the Kingdom of Eswatini there are no countries which are required to apply for visas but exempted from visa fees.     I. Hole in the Wall Project  About Hole-in-the-Wall (HiWEL) Lighting the spark of learning Hole-in-the-Wall Education Ltd. (HiWEL) is a joint venture between NIIT Ltd. and the International Finance Corporation (a part of The World Bank Group). Coinciding with the Republic Day in 1999, NIIT decided to do yet another meaningful act for the society, by first testing this innovative technology in a slum in South Delhi, located adjacent to one of its software factories. As an experiment, a Hole in the Wall was made, through the centre’s compound wall and a computer screen was installed, facing the slum. The effects were monitored by the R&D lab located in-house. It was observed that children were doing a number of interesting things with the computer, without any assistance. It was haphazard, but it had a sense of discovery & learning. This laid the foundation for further research which helped NIIT finally develop Playground Learning Stations (PLS), to give children their own private window…

    e-Clearance for Afterlife Remains (eCARe) portal Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India has developed an e-Clearance for Afterlife Remains (eCARe) portal to streamline and expedite the process of Pubic Health Clearance for transporting human remains to India. The link to access the portal is as follows: https://ecare.mohfw.gov.in          The eCARe Web portal is aimed at integrating all stakeholders on a single all-in-one interface, including the consignee, Airport Health Organizations (APHOs) and airlines. The portal facilitates smooth and timely clearance of documents with automated periodic alerts and live status tracking. The eCARe User Manual and a FAQs document are available on the portal. All stakeholders including individuals, companies/Associations and Airlines engaged in sending human remains to India are requested to familiarize themselves with the online portal and process applications through the same.
